Denver, CO. (October 20, 2008) – Joel Benenson, co-founder of iModerate, will be speaking at the ARF Industry Leader Forum, entitled “Transforming Research. Are you Listening?” This meeting of industry leaders will take place on October 29th, 2008 at the New York Athletic Club in New York City.

Joel will be talking about his experiences in the political and corporate arena. Specifically, he will give his take on various research methods and the importance of insight in these competitive environments. Additionally, iModerate is sponsoring the event and will have a tabletop exhibit on site. Attendees are encouraged to visit our table to discuss the conference topic and learn about iModerate.

This one-day event will examine how the insights garnered from online conversations about brands, companies, products and services are expanding the role of research beyond measurement and testing, and inspiring a new vision for market research. The symposium was born out of a meeting earlier in the year where industry thought leaders broached the subject of organic consumer online conversations. In addition to Joel’s lunchtime address, the day will include a keynote speech from Kim Dedeker of P&G, case histories delivered by General Mills, Sony and Unilever; and breakout sessions focused on the how to leverage listening to build your brand. Specific topics include:

  • How to listen
  • How to be sure that what you are hearing can be acted upon with confidence
  • How to measure the impact of the action you take based on your listening insights.
