Carl Rossow

Carl Rossow is the founder of iModerate and has more than 15 years worth of industry experience as a researcher and technologist. Carl is responsible for developing the methodology, platform, infrastructure and technology on which iModerate is built. Always on the cutting edge of research solutions, he has developed both on and offline real-time research methodologies for everything from ad testing to tracking studies. Prior to iModerate, Carl founded Innovative Survey Research, and was co-founder of The Benenson Strategy Group. Before these ventures, he was Vice President of Penn, Schoen and Berland where he pioneered the use of computer assisted personal interviewing in the malls to conduct quick response ad testing. Over his tenure in the industry, his expertise in research methods and desire for creating and implementing research technologies has helped Fortune 500 companies and prominent organizations. In addition, Carl has managed the research operations for Presidents and Premiers around the globe.

Joel Benenson
Co-Founder
Joel Benenson brings to the table over 15 years worth of market research experience. As a long time strategic research specialist and seasoned qualitative expert, Joel realized the market need for solutions that offer clients more in-depth information from their research. His proficiency in the online research arena coupled with a perpetual drive to find new ways to add insight to survey research were the genesis for iModerate. In 2005, Joel helped launch iModerate, using his multi-faceted experience to create a unique solution to allow researchers to garner more in-depth information from standard online surveys. Over Joel's career he has conducted strategic research for Fortune 500 companies such as AOL and Procter & Gamble, and as President and Founding Partner of the Benenson Strategy Group (BSG), he has been an industry leader in the area of message development and competitive strategy. Joel brings both a creative aptitude and a highly competitive analytic framework to research and is known for developing approaches that incorporate the latest techniques and technology from the market research world and beyond. His ability to not only conduct high quality research, but to grasp the underlying sentiment behind the data has been paramount to his accomplishments, and has helped fuel iModerate's success. Prior to founding iModerate, Joel was Principal at Penn, Schoen & Berland and a Vice President at the world-renowned advertising agency Foote Cone & Belding, where he developed strategies for AT&T's competitive advertising against MCI.
Scott Rossow
General Counsel
Scott Rossow is iModerate's General Counsel. He is a 10 year veteran of Fortune 500 companies specializing in communications and software. Beginning with the AT&T tri-vestiture, Scott has helped shape the acquisition, contracting and sales processes of companies such as Lucent Technologies, AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Formerly a Senior Advisor to the Chief Information Officer at Lucent Technologies, Scott has managed multi-million dollar software sales and consulting agreements with Kenan Systems Inc., IBM, Fed Ex and Verisign. He was also recently a private consultant to Verizon Wireless on matters of network acquisition, contracting and local number portability. Scott holds a B.A. from George Washington University, and a J.D. from New York Law School.
